Hi, thanks everyone for playing in this year's ecochallenge. The last winners of the drawing are Brian Keechle and Cinita. (Cinita, please email me at steph.fregosi@chemeketa.edu to pick up your prize.)

Today is the last day of the ecochallenge! Don't forget to log your points - you can back enter them too if you joined late. I will hold one more drawing for a mug and spork at the end of the day. Come by the Green Transit Fair from 11-2 in the student center!

I didn't notice that my computer had a screensaver setup until this morning, I have now disabled this to help save energy.

Some days are easier than others to meet the challenge. In fact, it's easier at work than it is at home but I'm working on this.

This challenge has opened my eyes to quite a few small actions we can take to make a big impact. The meatless meal has been challenging, but i am finding some delicious alternatives that are filling and by far more healthy. I am loving my salad with walnuts and moon drop grapes!

I chose three items because I thought it was a realistic goal; however, it's been tougher than I thought. Although I'm focusing on breakfast for my meatless meal, it's making me more creative about using leftovers and thinking up healthy alternatives (I decided not to buy veggie options but make my own). It's also inspiring me to start thinking about lunch and dinner options; I have added a meatless meal to lunches four times.

Exercising 30 minutes a day was more difficult than expected; found it hard to get started. However, when I brought others in-a friend and I switched our weekly coffee date to a coffee and walk date and my partner and I have committed to hiking or the gym at least twice a week. We are going on a 3-day camping trip after the challenge.

Tracking my purchases has been humbling....I spend  quite a bit on crap I don't need. Being aware of this has curbed my spending, and I think I will keep this habit after the challenge.

I have the Challenge to thank for helping me put into action new habits which I plan to keep ...here's anticipating I will be choosing new goals during the next challenge!

One step beyond the challenge is a weekly walking date with a friend...the challenge got us started; now our coffee dates have become coffee and walking dates.

A meatless meal is encouraging me to be more creative. I chose breakfast, and had leftover quinoa, which I made a pudding out of. Think it's going to be one of my favorite breakfasts from now on!

If you are on Team Chemeketa, you can create your own action to 1) take the commuting habits survey and/or 2) attend the Green Transit Fair we're having on 10/25 at 11-2 at the Salem Campus in the Student Center at Building 2.

I've got my eye on a Chevy Bolt for my next car thanks to this challenge!
