I learned the most from the waste challenge.  I forced me to look at things I really need, versus things I want.  I've been holding off on making a few purchases until the challenge is completed, but taking the time to wait and think, "do I really need item" helped me to not purchase items on whim.  I'll definitely be taking more time to think about the items I buy, rather than pulling the trigger right away.

I really enjoyed the daily outdoor time and will continue.

It's been a pleasure being a part of this challenge.  Thank you for helping me do my part to make this a better world and for making me a better person because of it.  :)

I'm definitely planning to extend my plant-based diet past the challenge.  This has been a great experience for me.

The first few days of the challenge I wasn't sure if I could make it.  Only a few more days to go and all I can think about is how much I like this way of living -- I think I'll keep it.  :)

It's incredible how much better tasting using local products to cook food is!

I'm finally getting into a groove.  I can definitely see how another week of these positive changes could be permanent changes!  However, by summer I am going to have to figure out how to shave my legs during a five minute shower -- eek!

Giving up all animal products was my "hard" challenge, and I have to admit it's not been nearly as hard as I expected!  I did go to a party yesterday and had to pass on most of the food offered, but I brought a vegan dish and enjoyed eating that and explaining to everyone why I'm a vegan now!

Day 2: I have challenged myself to turn off electrical devices when not in use. By taking this challenge I hope to not only positively impact my monetary bottom line, but also have  positively impact the environment. Who said these two goals had to be mutual exclusive?!

Day 2: 5 minute shower -- still hairy legs.  Lot of grumbling from my family about the temperature but I'm standing strong. Plenty of things to be thankful for and plenty of rain and beautiful leaves falling to witness nature.  Still no glimpse of an actual "sun" rise but it did get light out!  No screen time/e-mail until I got to work (including this blog).  :)
