Legacy Health - Caring for patients and the planet Feed

BACK TO TEAM PAGE

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

I wish this challenge was available all year! I would love to get the family to participate a couple times a year. A little competition might go a long way toward developing healthier habits for their bodies and for the world. Thanks for the inspiration NWEI!

While I had already adopted quite a few of the challenges, a daily reminder for creating new habits was helpful.  Also, great ideas for new tasks and projects that you might think about in passing but don't implement.

I finished decluttering my home this weekend and it made me wish I had done this on day 1 of the challenge! Now my challenge will be to not gain additional clutter as we make our way through the holidays.

For those doing the "meals without waste" challenge, what is your definition of waste?  Chopping celery for soup today (yay for the coolm rainy weather!), and while the unused tops go into my freezer bag for later use in making broth/stock, the bottom ends are way too dirty for that, so they go into the compost pail for pick-up next trash day.  Is composting them close enough to no waste, or do you consider that waste?  (I mean, I could clean them up to go into the scrap bag for stock, but that would take way too much water for my preference.)

I had a hard time with breakfast this morning, but then I just skipped lunch. Seems good.
