Megan Beveridge 10/25/2017 7:44 PMI can't believe it's already over! I didn't get to do two of my one time actions, but I still intend to complete them soon. -
Megan Beveridge 10/24/2017 9:43 AMchowing down on some hummus and pita for my vegan lunch! yummm! -
Megan Beveridge 10/23/2017 7:43 AMThis weekend I procured some GIGANTIC sweet potatoes from a farm co-op in Harford County! I can't wait to cook one up for dinner tonight and have leftovers for days. I also have some spaghetti squash and made homemade pasta sauce from farm tomatoes on Saturday. It was a good weekend, especially with taking a break from my vegan challenge. -
Megan Beveridge 10/20/2017 7:01 AMMy mother is requiring me to take a 24 hour vegan break while at her house. I can't say I'm super torn up about it since I really miss dairy! -
Megan Beveridge 10/19/2017 6:30 AMI think tonight I'm going to have to do a bit of grocery shopping. Turns out I have to eat a LOT more to stay full without dairy in my diet! -
Megan Beveridge 10/19/2017 6:24 AMMade some excellent vegan pancakes last night! I was craving some comfort food and the boxed vegan mac n cheese from the night before did not do the trick. Note to self: don't eat any more boxed vegan mac, it does not taste even remotely the same.-
Megan Beveridge 10/20/2017 6:59 AMIt might, but I don't think it will ever actually taste like cheese -
Alena Marani 10/20/2017 5:38 AMThanks for the heads up Megan! I wonder if you made your own vegan sauce if it would taste better?

Megan Beveridge 10/16/2017 1:13 PMBecause I am unable to compost in my apartment, I've been collecting and freezing for future compost when I move. It's a little inconvenient, but at least I'll have a good starter pile!-
Angela Maxwell 10/17/2017 7:10 AMI don't know if this is convenient for you either, but I have heard that MOM's and a facility at UMBC will take your compost. Maybe a place like this can be of help if you need the freezer space...

Megan Beveridge 10/15/2017 7:19 PMSo I spent my Saturday in DC and northern VA and I went to not one, but two vegan restaurants! One is an all vegetarian Indian place in Reston which was amazing and the other was a vegan BARBEQUE PLACE!!! I can't tell you how much I've missed good barbecue food in my years of being a vegetarian and to find a restaurant in DC with vegan barbecue was a dream come true. Even the meat eaters were loving it! -
Megan Beveridge 10/14/2017 7:49 AMToday will be an adventure of learning how to eat vegan outside my own home! Not keeping dairy around is one thing, but going out and being tempted by it is entirely different.-
Angela Maxwell 10/14/2017 8:03 AMooo let us know if you find any good vegan options around town!

Megan Beveridge 10/14/2017 7:46 AMAdopting a vegan diet hasn't been as hard for me this go around! I'm learning how to balance what I eat with how much I exercise. My dog is really enjoying the extra walks!
