    It's really hard to go an entire day without refined sugar! I have reduced the amount of sugar I'm eating by a lot but eliminating it completely is very hard because it's hiding all over the place!

    I joined my Neighborhood Association as well as the East Portland Action Plan! I'm looking forward to continuing to get involved with these organizations throughout the year!

    I am eating an 2 servings of fruit daily (an apple & banana today).  Munching a carrot for snack, and choosing to have a leafy green salad as my main dinner entre.

    I put out buckets in the backyard to collect rain water! Saving it for when the yard needs it.

    Went grocery shopping today to kick off our challenge of not eating refined sugar. What did I learn? There is refined sugar in everything! Even things you would image would ever need sugar! Reading those labels is super important!

    I'm so excited to kick off the 2017 EcoChallenge by placing a focus on changing some habits related to my personal health and the health of my community!
