    One of my challenges is to buy only what I need and I’ve done well in sticking to my list at the grocery store, etc. However, I recently received some catalogs in the mail that have tempted me something fierce! Those advertisers are good at what they do but so far I’m holding strong.

      I know, right?! I had to stay away from QVC because they are having a LOT of things I feel like I need, but I know I just want them.

    Changing out some of my lightbulbs wasn't quite as easy as I anticipated. Unfortunately, the LED globe replacement bulbs I bought for my bathroom didn't work so I had to return them to the store and exchange them. Thankfully, I tried another brand and those work beautifully!

    Almost had an "oops" moment yesterday! I met my parents and sister for breakfast and inadvertently reached for the ketchup when my sister caught me and reminded me that ketchup notoriously contains refined sugar. Good catch! I'm finding it's helpful to share my goals with others so they can help support my efforts and keep me on track! :)

    Those of you doing the 'Less Screen Time' challenge may find this week's The Living Experiment podcast about Television interesting: http://livingexperiment.com/  I love these podcasts and this week's episode has some eye-opening statistics on television-watching. The hosts also give some great pointers and helpful tips on reducing screen time. Good stuff!

    How'd the first day of the challenge go for everyone? I wanted a little snack when I got home yesterday after work and grabbed something to eat but nope, had sugar in it. So, I grabbed something else and looked at the label, nope, sugar as an ingredient in that too. Eventually settled on something healthier and then headed out for a walk. :)

    One of my challenges is to avoid refined sugar so I savored and enjoyed my ice cream bar from today's Employee Appreciation Ice Cream Social. :) I've been looking at food labels in preparation for next week's challenge and am surprised by the number of foods with added sugar. Taco sauce? This will be a good challenge!
