One of my challenges is to eat one meatless meal a day. Back home, my family would usually eat meat with every meal (we ate our own pigs and cattle). However, eating here has more vegetarian options, which makes it a lot easier to reduce the amount of meat eaten. Today I went the whole day without eating meat, and i wasn't even trying to do this challenge. I love meat to much to become a vegetarian, but i do believe I can reduce the amount of meat I eat.

For me the Eco Challenge was very interesting. I have never done anything like it before but i think it is a good experience and would recommend it to anyone. I had to make the conscious effort to save energy and go out and explore nature and i really enjoyed it. La Crosse is a beautiful area to explore and I also feel a lot better about my energy use. All in all i think this challenge was very beneficial and im glad we did it.

I enjoyed this assignment and the little challenge and change it brought as i was doing it. Nutrition has always been something i have been interested in, so i thought doing a challenge around eating would be interesting to me. Eating mindfully is definitely something that i have never really focused on before, as i always like to be on my phone or watch an episode on Netflix when eating a meal. Personally, i had to remind myself when ever i started eating to just enjoy my meal and what was in front of me. It was a nice little challenge for myself and i will keep it in mind as far as eating meals in the future goes.

Having a meeting outside was so nice! The only challenge was that it's hard to predict how long the meeting will go, so it's hard to know where to walk!

For my challenge, I decided to turn off the water when I am brushing my teeth. This has been a problem for me starting this year because my water bill is included with my rent. I guess I don't have the monetary incentive that I used to have before. The challenge so far has been relatively easy. I forgot a couple times but once I made a habit of it, it was easier to remember. When do the challenge it also made me more aware of the fact that I also leave the water on when I wash my face. I decide to stop doing that along with my challenge.

I chose the challenges of turning off my computer, which I have just been charging my computer to completion and then making sure to unplug it, and I don't use it while it s charging. This has been more difficult than my other challenge, printing on both sides instead of just one. Doing both of these challenges and seeing the results make me glad I am making a small difference.

I chose the challenge of only showering for 5 minutes. At first, this was a little difficult for me because I normally shower for long periods of time, but after a few tries, I was able to make my time in the shower much more efficient and only use 5 minutes worth of water each time. I'm glad I attempted this challenge because it's something I can be mindful of everyday in order to conserve water.

One of the challenges I am doing has been pretty easy because it is just not accepting plastic bags at stores. I go to target and festival quite a bit and I bring re-usable fabric bags instead of taking more plastic bags from the stores. This is obviously a small gesture but it is a step in the right direction and if everyone begins doing it then we could reduce or even eliminate the need for plastic bags at stores.

My challenge that I have chosen was to not have the water running as I brush my teeth. So far this has been very easy to do. Makes me wonder why I never thought to do this before!

I used to be lazy and run the water while brushing my teeth but then I read how much water I was wasting. It was really easy to make the switch to brushing without the water running and I have been doing it every day.
