BACK TO TEAM PAGE

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

I learned using refillable water bottles was a snap, easy to do, remembered most of the time. Turning my computer off has become a habit. I also tried to get our lights out more regularly at home, everyone helped so I think we are all practicing this one. Never did get the leaky faucet replaced but still plan on doing it. I found reading others comments pretty interesting, glad to hear others doing well, or at least trying. Hope to see everyone back next year; who knows where we will be.  Barb

It's going awesome! I have been saving time, money and water by taking shorter showers and brushing my teeth with the without the sink running. I set the timer on my phone so I can get out on time. I also decided to do laundry less times a week and wash bigger loads instead of multiple little loads that could equal one large load. I also made sure that I was in bed at least one hour early every night. I am going to make some changes to my everyday behavior even after this challenge is over! Thank you for opening my eyes!

I did get a paper cup for soda today.  I must have felt bad about it because I noticed I got a paper cup... but I have been refilling my water bottle with water!

The awareness this challenge has brought is incredible! Some of the things I wouldn't have thought twice about before are getting my attention right away now.

I moved this past summer and conducted an energy audit of my new home this week.  Not surprisingly, my 1920's home is not very energy efficient.  I started by putting new weather stripping on the doors.  But there is lots of room for improvement in the future!
Thanks to everyone who participated this year!

Sick day with my kiddo today.  I do have a promise from a friend to help me learn how to make kombucha and how to can fruits and veggies.  So definitely some background research that will help me meet my goals.

Homemade kombucha is so much fun, you can do so many different things with it and explore flavors you normally would not see. Have fun!!! :D

So far I am following along and remembering to do the things I signed up for.  We are having a meatless day today even though I did not register. We are also turning out the lights at home, boy we are bad at leaving lights on all day.
