      Actually the bloom was found by my grand nephew on a walk with my niece. They shared it on Facebook. They live Washington state! I have seen similar flowers in the wild in my part of North Portland. Saw some California poppies also.

      Wasn't it just?  Loading concert gear in and out in it was pretty fun too!  The wind was amazing, whipping the trees with great force.

    I have been doing the journal each day for 1. nature observations, 3 per day and 2. gratitudes, 3 per day. Wow, how that simple little task has opened up the eyes and the soul.

    What a dreary day... but this dreary day combined with others will fill our rivers, water the forests, be snow in the mountains and green up our brown lawns. A real Western Oregon day!
