A day that made it easy to make entry in my nature journal and to list gratitudes. Amen, Alleuluia!

So beautiful, isn't it?!?  This is among the most beautiful Fall days here in Oregon.  Great image!

A little sunshine made for a grand autumn day. Jack-o-lanterns - natural beauty; human whimsy!

    A late fall bloom. Lovely.

    • Michelle Krause 10/25/2017 2:29 PM
Love all of the flowers we have in the Pacific Northwest.  Please share my thanks with your grand nephew, grateful to get to see this!

    • Carole Strawn, SNJM 10/23/2017 7:35 PM
Actually the bloom was found by my grand nephew on a walk with my niece. They shared it on Facebook. They live Washington state! I have seen similar flowers in the wild in my part of North Portland. Saw some California poppies also.

What a beauty!  Where did you see that lovely blossom?  Was it anywhere near campus?

  • Carole Strawn, SNJM 10/21/2017 11:48 PM
What a downpour of a day!

    • Michelle Krause 10/23/2017 11:51 AM
Wasn't it just?  Loading concert gear in and out in it was pretty fun too!  The wind was amazing, whipping the trees with great force.

I have been doing the journal each day for 1. nature observations, 3 per day and 2. gratitudes, 3 per day. Wow, how that simple little task has opened up the eyes and the soul.

What a dreary day... but this dreary day combined with others will fill our rivers, water the forests, be snow in the mountains and green up our brown lawns. A real Western Oregon day!

  • Carole Strawn, SNJM 10/18/2017 11:58 PM
Water is such a precious commodity. We are lucky in our part of the world for the rivers, lakes and green forests.

Fall brings on so many lovely lichens. Matches the Halloween mood of these coming days. LOL.

    • Michelle Krause 10/19/2017 4:58 PM
Such a great image!  I love how the pine needles have intertwined with the mycelium.

    Fall can create some funny
pictures on the landscape. Hey, Star Trek fans, does this like a gathering of tribbles on the Marylhurst campus?

  • Carole Strawn, SNJM 10/15/2017 3:12 PM
Funny things appear in the fall. Such Beauty!
