The world just keeps presenting my eyes with such beauty!  I am loving the scent, colors, and slight bite to the air that Fall brings.  I'm sad to see the challenge ending as it has been so wonderful to see and read about what others have been doing, exploring, and experiencing this year.

Sure have had some pretty sunrises.  I love the way the world wakes up in the morning, birds begin singing, the sky begins to lighten, it's just beautiful!  I'm grateful to have discovered the nature options in the ecochallenge for this year, they have been a real pleasure to enact!

Another perfect day to enjoy nature and being out in it.  My thermostat at home is set to 60 when home and 50 when gone, so definitely keeping the power usage down that way!  I'll miss reading everyone's posts and seeing photos of nature experiences when this challenge is over.  Very much enjoying the community aspect of this, just wonderful to see what everyone has chosen to engage in.  Thanks!

It was so fun to go walking in the rain today after lunch!  The crows followed me around campus just waiting for a hazelnut to drop.  The geese were all lounging up at the top of campus, taking a much needed break in the Marylhurst wildlife habitat on their migration flight South for the Winter.  Everything smelled so clean and fresh!  Two of the trees looked like they were glowing with leaves all colored like flame.  A glorious day!

Sounds like you are feeling better. That is good! Glad you enjoyed this "typical" fall day in Western Oregon. Great place to be!

I am so blessed to live this place where there is so much beauty in the natural world around us.  The changing leaves, the crispness in the air, the glorious contrast between the leaf colors and the blue-grey skies, and the wonder of green grasses flourishing after a long Summer drought all conspire to create a sense of wonder, awe, and gratitude within me.

Severe migraine this morning limited the challenges I could complete so far.  It's possible that I'll get a few more in before the day comes to a close.  For now, I'm pretty satisfied with the indoor activities I was able to accomplish.  I'm still hoping for a walk in the woods and a few minutes of gazing at the sunset.  It's great to have the ecochallenge to remind me to do these things.  They are so important!

Sunday I felt like I was freezing all day, even bundled up!  I kept the thermastat at 60 and pulled out the spot heater while typing up homework and studying.  Might be coming down with something.

Couldn't get out walking and gardening as easily on Saturday.  On the up side, when I did go out walking, the new knee brace was just the ticket to walk farther and with less pain!  Hurray!

Grateful to be able to walk, loosen up the body, and take in the scenery.  The body is not happy, so every opportunity to engage with nature and walk is a blessing to be treasured.

Not only did I leave no trace, I cleaned up other people's trash.  I'm so grateful to my mom for teaching me to leave places better than I find them.
