Amanda Ryan 10/19/2017 1:20 PMThings have been going very well at SE Powell location. When I check in with employees, they are happy to be participating. I have no doubt that we will meet our goal of lowering straw waste by 25%. We have even offered employees reusable straws to use as they wish. I have been keeping mine in my bag and using it when I go out! -

here is a cool article about Straw waste. In the article it suggests to ask guests if they would like a straw, instead of automatically giving them one. This could be helpful with lowering straw usage for children and could also help save kids lids as well!!-
Colleen Murray 9/27/2017 8:35 PMThanks for posting this Amanda. I'm trying to build the habit of remembering to say "no straw" and it's surprisingly hard! Also things come with a straw often that I'm not expecting, like soda water with lemon.
