Joan Olawski-Stiener 10/17/2017 8:39 AMPlanning my meals ahead of time and shopping only for those items help eliminate food waste and I'm eating healthier foods. -
Joan Olawski-Stiener 10/17/2017 8:38 AMLoving the EcoChallenge! It is inspirational and is expanding my daily activities. Practicing gratitude for the Earth is great - much needed quiet moments before and after the busy day, a short meditation... -
Joan Olawski-Stiener 10/16/2017 8:38 AMWent to a park in town that we haven't been in before. Enjoyed the time with the dogs. -
Joan Olawski-Stiener 10/16/2017 8:36 AMWe went to a local farmer stand and bought just what we needed for dinner - tomatoes, onions for our salad, and for dessert, a fresh blueberry pie. Yum!-
Carey Compton 10/17/2017 6:05 AMYum, we typically do this on saturdays too and I just want to be able to get fresh local produce all year around. Yum! Great job Joan.

Joan Olawski-Stiener 10/16/2017 8:35 AMWe went to the country and enjoyed some time on a sheep farm. It was lovely watching the sheep, horses, chickens as well as the birds flying overhead in the wide open sky. It was wonderful. -
Joan Olawski-Stiener 10/12/2017 8:33 AMMy dog Rio is a Dog Scout of America, so not only do we try to leave no trace by picking up after ourselves, but we find and pick up bottles, cans and cups on our neighborhood walks and he earns badges for Community Service (he sometimes finds them for me). In the last couple of years, we've picked up over 800 bottles, cans and cups... and picked up 2 more yesterday in our neighborhood. -
Joan Olawski-Stiener 10/12/2017 8:27 AMWe couldn't see the sun rise because of the cloud cover, but the clouds were beautiful. So many different shades of grey and different shapes. They are fun to watch and don't often get the attention they deserve...
