It always amazes me how much street trash I can pick up on my 2 mile walks.  I have been leaving chalk art to remind people to pick up after themselves where I can.  The parks around town are great for that!  Loved this experience and hope to participate again some time soon!

I can't believe there's only one day left.  It's been a helpful reminder to be as eco-friendly as possible each and every day!  Almost like having an online eco diary!  I hope to see this challenge happen more often!

Took a 2 mile walk with my girlfriend and her dog Benji in the heart of Tallahassee.  You'd never know it since you can't hear traffic once on the trail.  Beautiful fall morning to commune with Nature. Love that this trail is trash free!!!

As a walker, you really get to see how much trash is left on the streets.  Since walking became my main mode of transportation for the last 5 years, I have learned to be my "brothers keeper" and pick up what I can before it reaches our waterways.  I'm sure I'm not alone, so let's keep picking up! My next action will be to contact the city and see if more trash cans can't be made available.  Maybe even start a program where a citizen can help with the purchase and dedicate it to a loved one!

A person thinks they know all there is to be eco-friendly, but every day I seem to learn something more!  And then I go to the state capital and let THEM know!

I've sidelined my car by walking every where that is within a two mile radius of my home.  Since I started that over two years ago, I find I only have to fuel my car every 2-3 months.  Keeping the air cleaner and my body healthier!  I've challenged all my friends and family to do the same!

    Join my EcoChallenge Team!

Hi everyone!  I'm excited to share with you that I am taking part in the 2017 EcoChallenge and I would love for you to join my team! The EcoChallenge is a fun and social way to take action on the issues you care about. The Northwest Institute and I believe that the solution to the planet's biggest challenges lies in the power of collective action. By taking action in our own lives and inspiring the people around us, each of us contributes to a world of impact.
Join my EcoChallenge Team Here! The challenge starts October 11th and goes for two weeks until October 25th. There are hundreds of challenges to choose from. Some are easy and some are much more challenging. I think this is a very fun and motivating way to make 1 or 2 of the positive changes you've been wanting to, or to come up with new changes you didn't know you wanted to make. Great change doesn't happen overnight. It starts with small steps and the EcoChallenge is a great place to start or to continue down the path of more happiness, health, and sustainability. Right now, my team is in 5th place out of 512 teams. I think we can win the whole challenge! It's just a fun competition though and the reality is that everyone who joins wins! Join my EcoChallenge Team Here! Health and Happiness to You!
Rob PS. Invite your friends to the team to inspire and influence them to make positive changes too!
