Melissa Mills 11/01/2017 9:01 PMThe Durham Launch the Future Team was awesome. I'm grateful for their competitive spirit. This year was just a warm up. Next year, we are going to wrangle up more competition and have a party with our competition when it's over - with organic, plant-based food! -
Maureen O'Rourke 10/25/2017 7:08 PMBeen opting out of postal mailings for catalogs and junk mail. Also made an appointment for my annual physical. -
Robert Karski 10/25/2017 2:29 PMI'm not a natural poster (and I'm not a natural imposter, but since each post counts 5 points, here's my post Thanks, NWEI, and the Durham Launch the Future team, for organizing this event. -
Maureen O'Rourke 10/24/2017 7:22 PMI think it's so calming to listen to the crickets and frogs while walking on trails, and I love the scent of pine. -
Maureen O'Rourke 10/23/2017 6:57 PMOrdered a few tops from "Threads For Thought," a "green" clothing company - fabric, dyes, manufacturing, etc. Learning about the clothing industry and will watch a documentary on Netflix called The True Cost. -
Maureen O'Rourke 10/21/2017 2:12 PMLoving the cool fall air and the beautiful leaves!! -
Maureen O'Rourke 10/20/2017 10:58 PMNetflix has a documentary, "Hungry for Change," and it's an eye-opener about the chemicals in processed food, some of which are addictive and others that are so unhealthy. Highly recommend viewing. -
Maureen O'Rourke 10/18/2017 8:23 PMFound alternate walking route this evening. Procrastinated going and it became too dark to walk my regular trails. I simply didn't feel like going, but decided it's worth the challenge!! -
Maureen O'Rourke 10/16/2017 3:32 PMAs a child, my parents taught me how to take "Navy Showers," meaning turn on the shower to get your body wet and turn immediately off. Soap up your body and if necessary shampoo your hair. Then turn the water back on to rinse. After rinsing, turn the water off and apply conditioner. While the conditioner is working its magic, you can shave your legs. Then turn the water back on for final rinse!!-
Jessica Ridgeway 10/16/2017 3:44 PMOur whole family showers like this and for over a year we collected that water to flush with. It was messy, but I am thinking of starting the bucket flushing again anyway.
