Health Care Without Harm Feed

BACK TO TEAM PAGE

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Eating breakfast outside in the fog, just to get points on my eco-challenge. Wish I could say I enjoyed it more than eating in my nice dry kitchen.

Hello #HCWH ecochallenge team. I'm not seeing a whole lot of action from the team this week. Remember that you can add your actions to the challenge and back date. For instance, if you ate a meal outside yesterday and prepared it with local ingredients with zero waste, you can go to your dashboard and use the arrow to go to the previous date and take credit for three..count them...three challenges.

So far so good. I haven't done a great job of doing the gratefulness part of the challenge, but the end of my farm share is helping me keep things local!

I like it! "100 mile diet". That seems like a tough thing to do, I'm impressed!

I only committed to take one action in this Eco Challenge - to explore at least one new hiking trail or nature walk in my area. Since the start of this challenge, I've been sick and we've had the first hurricane that Ireland has had in more than 50 years. And I will be out of town this weekend. So I ended up lowering my ambition and just visiting a city park I haven't been to before. I went today, and sat on a bench and ate my lunch in the rain while watching a man walk laps with his Jack Russell Terrier.

That's okay, that's the point - that the challenge helps you do something new! I also went to a new park in my city which was absolutely beautiful! I hope that you're all safe and doing well with the hurricane - this year's weather has been insane.

Trying to convince my best friend to move from a 30 minute drive to two streets over from where I live. We could walk to each other instead of driving. We live close enough to walk to town for everything. And there is a river walk a few blocks away. Wish me luck!

It's easy to eat lunch outside in this gorgeous New England weather. Likewise, it's easy to walk an extra 20 minutes, beyond my usual daily walks.

Organic Kale from my garden and an egg from a family farm 7 miles from my house.

I  made my boyfriend nuts as we took a new nature walk and visited some farm stands explaining "oh...I get eco challenge points for this".
