Tuesday and the challenge is almost over.  I feel great aboutthinking deeply of how I can create small carbon footprint.  

Monday, ok, I went to Fred Meyers and utilized my bags to avoid plastic.  I forgot to bring my small paper sacks to place produce in, so I only bought one apple.  I wish there was a frugal cookbook (has to be the best tasting-otherwise I am wasting $$) on how to make your own items:  mayo; yogurt; sour cream; ketchup; tarter sauce; cereal...

It's a great day to hang laundry outside. I have my clothes line full and the sun feels great.

Sunday, ok, I broke down and bought candy for the trick or treaters.   I feel somewhat bad, only because I did not do research to see if there are any candy companies who are creating wrappers that are recyclable.  I was thinking about fruit, but then I remembered when my son was young, the razor blade issues.  Anyone have any tips or ideas so...

Saturday I started out early.  Off to the groomer.  Dropped my pup off and then proceeded to visit my friend in the hospital (at 59) recuperating from a mild stroke.  It is amazing that a mild stroke caused her left side to be dead, yet it is called a mild stroke.  I know this was a total surprise for her, but I also know she has a long road...

Friday, it has been a rainy day, and I have continued to collect my veggie scraps in the refrigerator until I can get them outside and in the ground.

Thursday was a good day, although it was rainy, it still was all in all a good day.  After arriving home from work, I had my laundry to do and paying the bills,  What was great about all this?  I had no television on, only the radio.  I did not realize how relaxing that can be and my attention was on the task at hand.  I learned something new...

In my journey of walking I realized I can save on poop bags by carrying a small container and using either rubber gloves or a poop bag to pick up it and then put it into one and throw it away on garbage day.

Today while enjoying my morning walk with my dog Precious, I collected a few fall leaves.  The colors were simply amazing.

Sunday was such a beautiful day.  I loved watching the birds ping to the feeder for their dinner. There were 2 different jays and red breasted nuthatch.
