Dennis Williams 10/25/2017 8:23 AMwow...I took the Earth Day Network ecological footprint quiz, and it appears that I am killing us all :/ if everyone were to live like me we would need 3.8 Earths.-
April Ann Fong 10/26/2017 11:42 AMIt is interesting to choose another country (say Bangladesh) and to answer as much the same and get a much lower footprint! We are unaware as Americans how much having clean water, sewers, electricity, roads, etc., and meat in our diets affects our footprints!

Dennis Williams 10/15/2017 12:30 PMSo the energy audit showed that we were much more efficient than most of our neighbors, I grew up being scolded for leaving stuff on, or doors open...so maybe I had a bit of an advantage in that it has always been a thing in my life. Also, a huge thing for us is we have been prepping the house for sale, so the refrigerator (main) in a new energy star, and I just had the crawl space and attic re-insulated last spring. We both work hard to keep our usage low, since we are mostly a one income household until I graduate. The report listed a few changes that would result ina net 6% increase in efficiency: adding solar to the roof and swapping the second fridge to energy star. Overall we came in 90% more effiecient than our neighbors.-
April Ann Fong 10/17/2017 6:37 PMHmmm...try not to compare yourselves too much to your neighbors...do what makes an impact on your footprint that makes you proud! :D

Dennis Williams 10/01/2017 3:34 PMjust a quick note, the picture of the painted hills that I used for my banner is not mine, Gregory Retallack took this picture in his series on the 'Oregon Badlands' and I am using it through creative commons.-
April Ann Fong 10/02/2017 6:32 PMVery beautiful! I love the painted hills!

Dennis Williams 10/01/2017 3:00 PMsome of the energy items are easy one time fixes/surveys...so I should be able to get a running start and see if there are other more long term behavioral items that I can work on as well.
