    Simple vegan diet for Me, local free range eggs for my son (yes, the hens actually run outside) and I'm  turningthe heat down and putting on socks and a sweater!

    I can't get all I need locally produced.....have to do something about that.  Not sure what to do yet though.

    5 people in my house. One teen, two in their 30's and me 55 and spouse 62....limiting flushes. If it's yellow it mellow. If it's brown flush it down. Crude, but effective. Also cut our showers down to once or twice a week depending on the work day. Saving rinse eater from laundry. All Good!

    I don't have a clothes dryer. Laundry done and hung on the line. We have been Try I g to use the grey water on the garden. We have three 189 litre rain barrels, all full at present!

    I managed all but one of my challenges.  I made a bean recipe that had beans from two provinces over and molasses....not from this country! Tomorrow is a new day!

    So. Today we went to our local farmers market and purchased locally grown potatoes, onions, cauliflower and more. Thanksgiving vegan style in chemainus B.C.
