Leslie Pohl-Kosbau 10/23/2017 9:07 AMHelped at the Friends of Portland Community Gardens table this weekend. The money raised through t-shirt and handmade notecards goes to pay for compost for the Portland Community Gardens. FPCG is an all volunteer organization. -
Leslie Pohl-Kosbau 10/23/2017 8:58 AMUsing the last of the vegetables from the garden for soups. Winter crops in the ground and producing are: arugula, scallions, lettuce(except eaten by the deer). Cover crop in a small area of crimson clover that I raised, harvested and planted in September. -

Leslie Pohl-Kosbau 10/19/2017 1:34 PMSo glad that the rain is back, saturating the ground, but the traffic is backed up, and our hillsides are in danger of sliding. we need more trees, not fewer. I am grateful for the two tall Douglas fir trees in the front yard. They give shelter and home to animals and birds, and catch the rain drops. -
