With travel and deadlines, two weeks went by faster than expected. I didn’t check off everything I wanted to, but the good news is I don’t have to stop my efforts today! EcoChallenge 4 life

FYI, if you completed your daily challenges but forgot to check in (like I did last week), you can use the calendar feature at the top of your dashboard to log your actions for past dates. ✅

If you’re interested in buying carbon offsets for airplane flights, I recommend checking out the Nature Conservancy. It doesn’t cost as much as you might think, and your contribution goes toward habitat restoration projects, including some in Oregon!

Our New Seasons doesn’t take clamshells anymore 😰 Any suggestions for where to take them in NW or downtown?

Looking forward to Friday’s in-office group challenge! Hope everyone can make it to learn about advocating for environmental issues. We’ll have treats!

Any recyclers out there who have tips on where to take old shoes? (Not tennis shoes and not in any condition for a thrift shop)

    • Amber Nobe 10/20/2017 9:12 AM
      Thank you!

    • Hi Amber - check out soles4souls.org  (though, I think the shoes need to be in decent shape); also, a lot of recycling centers will take them - it looks like you are based in Portland, so call Metro Recycling at 503-234-3000 - they are extremely helpful! I know Farwest Recycling will take them (they have a big bin for old clothes, shoes, and textiles) - I've seen the same bin in front of or near many Whole Foods - http://www.farwestrecycling.com/

During today’s outside time, I watched the migrating butterflies on the deck while drinking my coffee. Finished the day watching “Planet Earth” and contemplating the human impact on the nature around us
