Meal prepping has made me more conscious of how much food I've wasted in the past. I've definitely been suckered into purchasing foods that just sat in my pantry. But now, I'm much more conscious of how much food I actually need!

I haven't been feeling well at all, I've been feeling quite under the weather. I haven't been able to attend my regular activities and I've been doing homework and resting quite a bit; however, I was able to watch some documentaries on netflix. I've been trying to watch as many documentaries as I can, especially on topics I claim ignorance on. I watched one about the degrading of the great barrier reef and how actions from across the world directly perpetuate its decline. I hope to keep crossing off documentaries on my list!

Limiting social media has as been an up and down for me throughout the years. I've realized that social media is a beautiful platform, if plugged into the right outlets. Though one of my goals is to limit toxic social media, I hopped on there with the pure purpose of unplugging from unhealthy sources and searching for positive, influential, and against the grain platforms.

Maintaining an balanced work-life scale has been difficult. I truly believe that part of my constant need to work to grow the number in the bank or to constantly be busy is due to the social constructs of society. I forced myself to not pick up the extra shift, or not stay after I'm off. With this simple action, though I am taking a pay cut, I'm gaining in less anxiousness and more time to dive into what intellectually stimulates me!

I've been tracking all my purchases throughout the past week and it's reflecting back on things I've bought, I've realized that I've made lots of efforts in minimizing my lifestyle. Whether it be not shopping, walking to places I can, or only purchasing foods I need, (instead of getting sucked into buying that new, foreign, flavor infused whatever food,) I've maintained purchasing less and less. I hope to keep this up!

I've really trying to have a waste free diet. Last week didn't go as smoothly, but it's okay, for it's all a learning process! This week, I tried basically meal prepping and it's going well so far. Though it's only Tuesday, I have a lot of confidence for this upcoming week! Meal prepping has saved me so much time in the mornings. Having rushed mornings I've noticed affects my productivity, mood and sense of awareness. Overall, though meal prepping will take some time to set in, it's definitely something I want to implement in my daily life past this challenge!

One of my challenges was to message those I am genuinely thankful for, either praising them or just listening in to how they are. I feel a though in the hectic day to day life, simple humanity gets pushed aside. Though this may seem like a small challenge, it's made quite a huge difference in my day. I feel as though when people are in a happy mood, they are more apt to help and be generous and be more confident! It's that state of emotion that can drive someone overtime to have the confidence to go after whatever it is they wish!

I've tracked all my purchases so far to see where I am spending my money. I've been trying to shop less at chain clothing stores. I've been thrifting quite a lot more! Also, I've been on the look out for local grocery stores, I've purchased a solid amount of my food for the upcoming week at the farmer's market!

As one of my challenges, I chose to limit my screen time! I notice that I spent quite a lot of time just scrolling through social media. In all honesty, the content I scroll through is unsubstantial and just allowing my mind to go to mush. On top of limiting my screen time, I traded it out with reading world news, reading on how to better communication with other individuals, reading articles about a certain topic I have a specific stance on, but from the other side's perspective. I hope to continue to develop this habit!
