Another thought: Has anyone learned something while participating in the EcoChallenge that you want to explore further? Curious about global impacts of certain practices, maybe?

It's been really great to see all the different ways that we've added new sustainable practices over the past couple of weeks. To me, it's a good reminder that making lots of little choices over the course of a day don't feel like a burden but add up to making a big difference.

Today's sunrise made one of my EcoChallenges especially enjoyable. Rather than gulping down my breakfast shake and coffee while reading the news, I sat and enjoyed them (the thought!) while taking in a very Oregonian view of Mt. Hood.

So far so good on the daily practices, just need to figure out when to do some of my one-time actions. So if you see a Tesla flying down Highway 43 next week, rest assured that's not some yuppie jerk acting out his midlife crisis -- it's me, test-driving an electric vehicle to accomplish an EcoChallenge!

Good job on your daily practices, Alex! I want to hear about a Tesla test drive.

Ha! Trust me, I don’t have the nerve to actually test drive, let alone own, a Tesla. I do use a Leaf at work often and have liked that, and I’ve heard other manufacturers have good models of their own. Hopefully I’ll ge to try some at the Go Green conference next week!

    • Hi Alex! We went EV this year, too and love it. We got a Nissan Leaf. Not as sexy as those Teslas, but it is a great vehicle. We have solar panels too - so when we plug in to charge we are using 100% solar. We sure do miss you at NWEI! So glad to see you via EcoChallenge!!!!
