Alicks Kundart 10/18/2017 9:40 AMI love the rain....gotta walk over to Walgreens and get a photo I ordered, so I know I'll get my 45 minutes in today at lunch. Have my broccoli ready for tonight as well, but will hold off marking items complete until I've actually done them. Some days the challenges are easy and other days not so much. Guess that's why they're challenges, right? -
Alicks Kundart 10/16/2017 2:12 PMAnother beautiful day.....something I can now appreciate. When I lived in California, it was depressing have good weather so often. People think I joke when I say I came here for the rain, but it's true. Also thankful for my day off last week. Filled up on some Rubinette apples at the Portland Nursery, had a great vegan meal, and had myself a pedicure. A little pampering never hurt anyone! -
Alicks Kundart 10/11/2017 2:27 PMI already had to eliminate one of the challenges because I'm just not ready to let go of sugar. I'm stressed right now, so adding a deprivation of a "happy" part of my life (as unhealthy as it is) will just make everything worse. I make my latte with flavored (sugared) syrups in the morning and I can't imagine how unhappy I'd be without those right now. This challenge overlaps with my birthday. Seriously.....no sugar on my birthday?! I don't think so. SO, I replaced it with reminding myself of what I'm grateful for....Simon (my son)...a sunny autumn day....and sugar! Ha ha!-
Dawn Wright 10/11/2017 9:33 PMI'm grateful for sugar as well. Can't imagine coffee without cream and sugar. I'm with you hard to find a good time to quit. -
Jennifer Nelson 10/11/2017 4:47 PMWhat I love about this is that it raised your awareness of how sugar is a part of your life. That is the first step to thinking about how you might want to approach it over time. :)

Alicks Kundart 10/09/2017 3:18 PMI'm already dreading the unsweetened beverage portion. I am in for a stressful week (without the challenge). However, I'm wondering if my body will just adjust after not having the sugar.-
Alicks Kundart 10/11/2017 2:33 PMUnsweetened iced tea? Just the thought of that depresses me. I had to eliminate the sugar challenge. I know I would fail. I failed this morning because I forgot the challenge started and had my sweetened latte before leaving home. I think I'll need hypnosis to truly do it......they can make me believe everything is sweeter than it actually is, right? -
Jennifer Nelson 10/09/2017 5:41 PMI have found that I really enjoy iced hibiscus tea in place of sweetened beverages... want me to bring some over this week? :)

Alicks Kundart 8/18/2017 9:36 AMExercise, cutting out refunded sugars, and having to eat more fruits and veggies. You would think this would be easy as a vegetarian, but I'm going to be like a 30-year smoker on the first day of not having a cigarette. I may just be comatose....but no doubt that I will NOT be a happy camper. -
Alicks Kundart 8/15/2017 3:47 PMTime to get back down to a healthy weight!
