Elyse Iverson 10/25/2017 1:47 PMLast day of the EcoChallenge! I'm hoping to continue some of these challenges. I found not eating meat for 2 meals a day to be pretty easy and I really enjoyed taking breaks from my computer screen to enjoy the outdoors. -
Elyse Iverson 10/24/2017 1:04 PMIt's a beautiful fall day in Portland! I was able to get out off the office for lunch and enjoy an hour outside :) -
Elyse Iverson 10/23/2017 1:39 PMThe sun is out! I'll gladly replace some screen time with a stroll outside :) -
Elyse Iverson 10/20/2017 12:59 PMJames Ellsworth with the Oregon League of Conservation Voters came into our office today to tell us how we can help combat climate change on a governmental level. We wrote letters to our local representatives expressing our support for environmental actions. It was super informative and I'm glad we were able to connect with him. -
Elyse Iverson 10/19/2017 11:47 AMIt's getting pretty chilly, but I still haven't turned my heat on. Luckily my apartment isn't drafty and I have a warm comforter. I'm hoping to continue this challenge after the EcoChallenge is over and not turn my heat on until November.-
Amber Nobe 10/20/2017 9:07 AMHave you tried weather-stripping your windows? We did it last year as part of the challenge, and it helped so much. (We actually had old weather strips on the windows that really needed replacing.) Super cheap to buy at the hardware store!

Elyse Iverson 10/17/2017 1:55 PMOne of my challenges is to eat 2 meatless meals a day, but all of my meals today are meatless. I think going meatless for the entire challenge would have been more difficult.. maybe next year!-
