Misty Hopkins 10/25/2017 3:56 PMI am sad to see this challenge end, hoping that I have started a few good habits and will continue doing a little bit more each day. -
Misty Hopkins 10/24/2017 10:36 PMI met all of my goals except the 5 minute shower, that one is a true challenge as I really enjoy sitting in the job to veg out at the end of the day. I am happy to say that I finally have my family participating in using less water and getting more exercise. Feels great to make a difference!-

Misty Hopkins 10/23/2017 7:58 PMI am so happy about the changes I am making. I completed all except one of my goals today, I took a nice long bath instead of a 5 minute shower but 6 out of 7 days isn't bad. I put a full water bottle in my toilet tank, hope my toilet continues to flush well. Also took a nice walk with my daughter and got some nice pics. It's been a good day!RemoveRemove-

Misty Hopkins 10/22/2017 7:40 PMResearched recycling in my area, we do not have one in our town other than cardboard. We do have them in neighboring towns which isn't much of a drive-
Sheila and Everett Sjolseth 10/23/2017 11:13 AMWe are running into red tape in trying to visit the company that recycles our trash (it is two towns away). Trying to find that sympathetic person that will come and let us visit. Our landfill is also not local, two towns over. Would love to hear what your visit is like!

Misty Hopkins 10/21/2017 11:09 PMGoing green is harder than it should be. I am doing good on limiting water and energy usage but have not figured out how to go plastic free yet. I am in the process of changing my diet to fresh fruits and vegis with less processed foods so that will cut down a lot of waste but how do you continue to have your favorite drinks and such without making waste? -
Misty Hopkins 10/19/2017 5:23 PMI just watched the 3 part series on you tube about genetically engineered foods. Its scary to think what we have put in our bodies and the fact that the modified genes can attach to our guts and keep producing the poison in our bodies. I think it is time to do a bit more studying and clean out my cabinets for the health of my family. I have a grown special needs daughter whose attitude has become intolerable and now that I think about it this attitude has become more prominent since we have started eating out daily. In two days we start on a 12 week journey to getting healthy and part of that will now consist of cutting these modified foods from our diet as much as possible.
