Gregory Gomez 10/25/2017 4:26 PMRecycling saves money! Yep, sure does. When I started recycling a couple of years ago I was able to go to a smaller garbage container and bam! my garbage bill went down. I'm now also recycling the plastic coffee container lids. Next step is to drink more home brewed coffee. -
Gregory Gomez 10/25/2017 1:49 PMFor lunch I ran three games of full court basketball. Got my heart rate up and a great sweat in the process. This was close to forty minutes of playing. Then I ate a banana.
Last night I carved pumpkins with my daughter. Then we started taking pictures of our gourds and we were doing these spooky/creepy poses as well as fun smiling ones. Talk about food for the soul. I had such a wonderful time hanging out with her.

Gregory Gomez 10/24/2017 4:00 PMI have good energy today and when I can get a sweat going from weight lifting then I know I'm hitting it with intensity! I mostly worked on quads & glutes, plus a couple of lifts for my calves. As always, the walk to the gym (and back) was awesome. "Sun's up, looks OK, the world survives into another day...." -
Gregory Gomez 10/23/2017 4:29 PMEven though my preference is for warm sunny weather, I thought yesterday here in the NW was just a spectacular fall day. My daughter and I went to a local farm and walked the corn maze, then we picked up a couple of pumpkins for carving. Later in the afternoon I raked the leaves. Then my daughter and I made pizza in the evening. Being able to engage with her in shared activities is just so fulfilling and gratifying. Like, wow. -
Gregory Gomez 10/20/2017 1:53 PMOh yeah, anyone in the Portland area know of a place that has good khombucha available for a growler fill? I'm getting tired of all these empty bottles. This is a waste for sure.
BTW, any soul/R&B music lovers here? I've been totally grooving on some old school Stevie Wonder....from Songs In The Key Of Life I've been cranking All Sucker For Your Love. Al Green I'm Still In Love With You. Curtis Mayfield doing Diamond In The Back. Then I've been checking in on some rock type classics... Joni Mitchell Help Me...sublime (also check out k.d. lang's version), Van Morrison Natalia, Warren Zevon Lawyers, Guns and Money.
I'm curious to know what you are listening to that lifts your spirits/mood/emotions?

Gregory Gomez 10/20/2017 1:34 PMI got my hear rate up and an OK sweat after 20 minutes of half court basketball and a 15 minute weight lifting workout. I had a nice round trip walk to the gym on the beautiful MHCC campus. Fruit and whey protein for breakfast and lunch today. Plus I will be supporting local beer purveyors by purchasing one or two craft beers this evening. Word -
Gregory Gomez 10/16/2017 4:21 PMI mowed the lawn and raked leaves yesterday while enjoying a truly sublime weather day. However, this was short lived as I was attacked by a wasp. The little prick did its job well as it deposited a stinger in my head.-
Sheila and Everett Sjolseth 10/16/2017 6:38 PMOh no! They were very aggressive in our part of the world this weekend. Hope the cooler weather calms them down.

Gregory Gomez 10/16/2017 2:52 PMOh hey, I forgot to mention I supported a couple of local farmers this past Saturday by going to Ponzi Vineyards and Hawks View Vineyard in the Willamette Valley. The things they're doing with grapes these days......-
Troy Builta 10/16/2017 2:54 PMLol! nice way to support for sure!
