I have been taking colder showers, which not only saves energy and reduces the CO2 emissions associated with heating the water, but because I am using colder water, I want to get in and out of the shower as quickly as possible. This results in me using less water. I have also been turning off my desktop instead of just letting it go to sleep mode. This took some getting used to. While it does take longer to use my computer due to the increased start up time, it is not that much of a burden.
