Daniella Espinoza 10/24/2017 5:42 AMAs the weather fluctuates, it's hard to dress for the whole day. Whenever I am in my room and it begins getting warmer outside, I open the window and restrain myself from turning on the AC. Some tricks to stay cool without an AC:
-drink lots of water
-mix up your frozen treats
-get a cooling pillow or sheet set
-learn your body's cooling spots! and place a cool washcloth over there spots to bring your body temperature down -
Daniella Espinoza 10/23/2017 7:33 AMHello Penn State members!
Today marks the 12th day of the EcoChallenge! It is remarkable to see the collective impact we have made so far. We are currently in 5th place with 23,357 points. So far, our team has consumed 269 meatless meals, saved 312 pounds of CO2 and 5,956 gallons of water, and prevented 194 plastic bottles from being sent to the landfill. We also replaced spent 2100 minutes outdoors and 5223 minutes exercising. This is awesome! And it's only a few of the many impacts we have done. With only 2 days left to the challenge, l encourage you to continue login in and tracking your impact. Remind your friends to do it too so that we can see how your actions contributed to making a more sustainable planet! Congratulations and keep it up Penn State! -
Daniella Espinoza 10/17/2017 10:49 AMWas buying a pack of gum from Louie's (Redifer Commons) when I was asked if I wanted a bag with my purchase. Of course I said no! It would be better if the customer asked instead of being offered, maybe we won't see as much plastic bag use then! -
Daniella Espinoza 10/15/2017 11:15 AMWalked to the Horticulture Show at the Ag Arena and saw some beautiful orchids! I bought a little pumpkin to take home with me :) -
