Lara Davis 10/24/2017 1:53 PMoops. i just threw garbage in another receptacle that is not mine for collecting :0 -
Lara Davis 10/24/2017 9:58 AMit's almost over - but i'm gonna keep on keepin' on :) -
Lara Davis 10/23/2017 5:44 AMfeeling bad about the amount of garbage i'm going to put out there today/this week - will be unpacking several desks and other furniture at the office. we recycle what we can, but packaging is full of stryo-trash. however, it is of a worthy note that even before this challenge Mitzi did the research and found a place that will recycle Styrofoam! AND DeeAnn has volunteered to make multiple trips to the center to drop it off! Eco-heroes even before they were challenged :) shout out! -
Lara Davis 10/22/2017 5:37 AMalso....you can't shave when you take a 5 min shower!-
Dorothy Craven 10/22/2017 6:00 AMFirst you get wet and then turn off the water while you shave. Turn the water on as needed to clean razor. This has worked for me where you pay for a metered shower. Good

Lara Davis 10/22/2017 5:36 AMwell, i'm doing pretty well and i don't feel very challenged, so i'm kind of disappointed in myself for not picking harder challenges. the ones i'm failing at the most are the saddest though. i have a really hard time bicycling to work because i am always running errands (even though i make sure to plan my routes to be most efficient) - i often have to pick up dog food or drop off packages that i simply cannot take on my bike. otherwise i'm just lazy i suppose. i actually thought i was failing at helping other people pretty seriously, but i realized that i have actually done a few things that i didn't even think of as helping! i donated money to a gofundme campaign for someone who lost everything in the california fires, gave a man a dollar when he was just short of being able to pay his grocery bill in front of me, and all sorts of "little" things that i don't really think of as helping someone in need, but i guess are. this challenge has made me more aware than i even knew!-
Lara Davis 10/23/2017 5:56 AMthanks paul :)
also, i didn't know i could edit my challenges! i actually had kind of a hard time picking them because, believe it or not i already do most of what was an option - except the things that i just knew i wouldn't; though i do know what you mean about some of them sounding a lot harder than they actually are! overall i'm pretty happy about my level of awareness of my impact on the enviro and my effort to make a minimal impact - challenge or not! -
Paul Wolfe 10/22/2017 3:27 PMIt's always a plus to take stock of the little things you do each day that make a positive impact! Don't get down on yourself, you're doing great!
Also, I found you can add challenges or change challenges at any time, so if you're going for those plant points, you can switch up your one time actions and level up. Personally, I found a lot of the challenges sound harder than they actually are or seem to cost more than they actually do. -
Alyssa Lee 10/22/2017 8:43 AMGood job! Keep going you can do it !

Lara Davis 10/19/2017 10:40 AMpretty pleased about the amount of non-compostable/non-recyclable items we have around the house. turns out we've been nailing that one all along. It could always be less, but we've been extra mindful since the challenge and it feels good! -
Lara Davis 10/17/2017 8:35 AMthis is harder than i thought. i'm technically collecting all of my garbage that isn't recyclable or compostable, because our garbage pick up is every two weeks. i am taking it outside though because meat wrappers stink!
