Karina Agbisit 10/12/2017 4:01 PMHelping others and helping the earth- check out Dirty Girls of Lesvos, a non-profit in Greece helping refugees. Dirty Girls of Lesvos began as an organization that retrieved clothing discarded on shore by recently arrived refugees, cleaning the clothes to like new standards, and then redistributing the clothing to refugees. In light of policy changes, the organization has begun focusing on washing blankets and sleeping bags and redistributing them.
The group has also begun making messenger bags from life vests discarded by incoming refugees and gifting them to anyone who donates $100 or more.
To find out more about this awesome organization, please see their website here: http://dirtygirlsoflesvos.com/
