    I went on a nice long walk yesterday around the park by my house -- the changing leaves are so beautiful! I also worked a little bit on my garden and just sat outside and appreciated the quiet.

    I'm not eating any meat during this eco challenge. I was a vegetarian for 10 years and I'm trying it out again. So far, it's easy breezy!

    This weekend I picked figs from a neighbor's fig tree! I've enjoyed giving some away, eating them fresh and I also plan on testing out my food dehydrator so I can put them in oatmeal this winter. It is really special to enjoy fruit that was grown so close to my home.

      YUM Laura! We love figs as well and are lucky to have friends with trees.  They make jam from them --another delicious option/

    One thing I'm excited to do for the EcoChallenge is visit my local recycling depot -- Far West Fibers -- which is just down the road from my house.  www.farwestrecycling.com
