Sunday was a bad day in my Eco Challenged life.  As I'm finishing dinner, munching on the cookies we baked, it is pointed out to me that it was my second meal of the day with meat and the cookies were full of refined sugar.  I was unconcerned as it was Sunday, which fell flat on my audience.  "This isn't Lent.  You can't abstain from the Eco Challenge on Sundays." Ahhh, live and learn.

Well, truth be told, I registered over a week ago and the greatest challenge so far is remembering my password.  Voila, new password created.  Tried to log my successes and my dashboard didn't appear.  What?  I joined and posted last week and was eager to participate this week.  After much fumbling, re-registered and I'm off to living a healthier life, building a better world.

Day 2 sans sugar has been a breeze.  Menu planning-check.  Enjoying the sunrise and sunset--YES--afterall gray is my favorite color. Walking more thanks to co-workers, friends and family encouraging me to get outside more.

Purchasing with "needs v. wants" guiding my actions has been helpful.  Sure that ice cream is tempting and I need it if I'm going to continue to pack on the winter insulation for my body, but really is that a need or a want?  Put down the Skinny Cows and back away from the freezer section.

De-cluttering is a challenge, I remove a box and then a friend gives me a box as she de-clutters and I'm storing items for family during a move.  Kind of a zero sum situation here so I shall have to work doubly hard to get rid of stuff if I accept others' castoffs.

Daily Gratitude: Rain, rain, rain.  We are so blessed to be in the PNW where the rain renews the earth, provides us with lush landscapes and washes away the dust after the long dry summer.  Rain truly renews.
