Yay to the Starbucks in the Miracle Mile Shops that took my cup so I can finish this challenge strong!! Yay!

Still going strong...and only one day left

Made my own coffee in my hotel room and brought it in my travel cup to my hubby’s baseball tournament so I could sip my coffee and watch him play. Also watched What the Health on Netflix. All in all a nice relaxing day well spent. Love being on vacation

So, I’m on vacation in Las Vegas and we stayed at the Stratosphere (terrible and even though we are paid through Tuesday there, I paid to stay somewhere else!) but anyway, I went to get coffee at the Starbucks in the hotel. I get up to order and they tell me they can’t take my cup but they can put it in a cup that I can use to pour into my cup. I said thanks but no thanks-it defeats the purpose. No coffee for me today...so disappointed  :(

I actually brought my ceramic cup to the airport and got me my coffee. My hubby even rinsed it out for me at our gate.

Didn't do any grocery shopping since I leave for vacation tomorrow but, there is still food at the house that I can make meals out of. No waste! As long as I have my coffee in the morning, I can do (almost) anything! :)

Still keeping up with the meal planning and it is going great (not sure if it's because I know I'm half-way done or really actually getting the hand of it) but I'll take it! I leave for Vegas on Saturday and will really need to implement my "meal planning" to stay on budget in a hotel - not looking forward to that. The first three days are in an actual hotel which will prove to be challenging but the last 6 days we will be in a studio/condo with a mini-kitchen so that will be easier. The coffee cups at the airports will be a real challenge for me!

The lady at Even Keel knows my order now without me even saying it - "The Usual?" wow...way cool :) And I meal planned so well I had plenty to bring to work to share my Turkey Enchilada-Chili. Love feeding my work family and nothing left to waste!

Reflections as I near about half-way through this year's challenge and I feel like I've got this coffee thing down. It may not be as convenient to carry the heavy cup but it is such a small "inconvenience" for a huge impact on the environment. In my head, I'm imagining mountains of cups filling up the landfills and that is motivation enough to carry around my cup. It really isn't that difficult and it's worth it to me.

Love my coffee and loving this challenge. It’s been actually saving me money!
