Katie Conlon 10/11/2017 2:52 PMI feel like I already do a lot - or have already picked my personal 'low hanging fruit' - so this is definitely adding to the challenge of what can I do more than I already do. I already bike everywhere; I eat vegetarian and organic; I try to minimize my consumption and waste footprint; I am conscious of electricity and water usage; for an American I think I have a very low footprint. However, by default, just being in the US already increases my footprint because of the systems that I am a part of. I guess the next step is more advocacy at the community level, more reaching out to try to share my knowledge and experience, and trying to effect change on a wider scale. I am also practicing my gratitude for this challenge. Self and other care is very important and I am glad the health aspect is included in the challenge. Otherwise, I spent a few hours appreciating the forest today so I feel pretty good. Happy EcoChallenge everyone ! ~~
