I invited three people to join. Yesterday I got a used hottub instead of supporting continued productions. I have needed one for my disabilities for years. I borrowed from my past rather than "taking from my future" (NWEI).

I included challenges due to my unnecessary support of "...the golden arrow" (The Story of Stuff, https://youtu.be/9GorqroigqM). I am in a spiral of bad consumerism through the use of my gas guzzling car. So I included other challenges. I accidentally accepted a free coffee today that was in a recycled cup. I will use it as a Christmas decoration until it falls apart.

Also, I went to Veggie Fest in Portland today. So many opportunities to change small habits.

I am on the 'treadmill'.....But the good news is my education, which is costing so much fuel, will change much more of the future into a more sustainable solution through proper intelligent controls.

I live so far from college that I can only commit to taking public transportation on rare occasions. This is due to using my tiny community bus to get me 30 miles into downtown Portland. Then I have to HOPE my tiny community bus decides to come back to pick up the few riders that support it. I'm working on a plan.

I drive to school a great distance, and have been for the last two years. My vehicle gets 17 mpg. I hope to track the actual miles taken by public transportation in order to compare it to any, if at all, CO2 emission reduction. A Portland city bus gets between 5 to 8 miles per gallon. That figure is not counting the extra effort to carry my weight. Myself and any other new passenger would reduce the fuel efficiency by a small amount due to the extra weight. I will report my results after the challenge concludes. It will definitely reduce my current emissions of 62.29 pounds into Earth's atmosphere.
