    We have reusable water bottles (Tervis-type) that we can reuse all day.

    Arlington County is very good about recycling.  They say if you're uncertain if an item is recyclable, add it to the recycling and they will sort it.

    We purchased a steer from a local farmer, so any time we eat meat we're enjoying locally sourced foods.

    Does picking pumpkins from a patch count as the nearby farm to pick fruits and vegetables?  Perhaps it does if one also picks apples.  :-)

    We have returned home and are now returning to our more normal activities.  It will be much easier to resume focus on these challenges.

    It was hard to do too much today because of traveling.  We never went to a grocery store and our host was kind enough to provide meals for us.
